ABOUT US

Sugartown Pediatrics is a private medical practice dedicated to the health of children and young adults from birth through age 26 years. We are unique as a solo practice founded by Louis Giangiulio, MD, a locally-raised and board-certified pediatrician. Here you and your child will experience excellent continuity of care, unparalleled access to your physician and the benefit of years of clinical experience and world-class training.

"Dr. G" is credentialed at Main Line Health (www.mainlinehealth.org) and attends to newborns at Paoli, Bryn Mawr, and Lankenau Hospitals. We have two easily accessible office locations in Newtown Square and Malvern, PA and accept most major insurances. We are now accepting new patients.

Dr. G. attended Malvern Prep and graduated from The Johns Hopkins University and Jefferson Medical College. He completed his pediatric training at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington D.C. and the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. He served his country as an army pediatrician for six years, including a deployment to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in 2003–04. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (www.aap.org) and is board-certified in pediatric and adolescent medicine since 2002 (www.abp.org). Dr. G. is the father of four children and looks forward to sharing his experiences as both a parent and well-traveled pediatrician in the care of your child.

Dr Giangiulio currently serves as the school physician for The Phelps School (www.thephelpsschool.org)—a private boarding school in Malvern, PA . He is the medical consultant for the entire Penn-Delco School District and acts as a medical consultant to The Birth Center in Bryn Mawr, PA (www.thebirthcenter.org). He sits on the board of the Mason Shaffer Foundation (www.masonshafferfoundation.org) and as such was instrumental in the initiation of the public cord blood donation program at the Main Line Health hospitals.
